otrSoulful duo Over the Rhine will make a rare appearance at their alma mater Malone University, Friday, October 28 at 8 p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of the Johnson Center for Worship and the Fine Arts located on the campus at 2600 Cleveland Avenue N.W. in Canton. Tickets—$10 for Malone faculty, staff, students, and alumni; and $15 for the general public—are available through Malone’s Office of Student Activities, and Berean Christian Store, 1100 30th Street N.W. in Canton. Over the Rhine is the talented, married pair of Karin Bergquist, a 1988 graduate, and Linford Detweiler, a 1987 graduate, both of Malone University. The artists have been named to Paste Magazine’s list of 100 Best Living Songwriters.

Over the Rhine's new album, The Long Surrender was released nationally on February 8, 2011 on OtR’s own Great Speckled Dog label. It was recorded in California with Grammy winning producer, Joe Henry and contains a duet with Lucinda Williams on "Undamned" and two songs co-written with Joe Henry.
