The Malone University Office of the Provost has announced that – with the
upcoming retirement of Loretta Reinhart, RN, Ph.D. – it is seeking an
accomplished and visionary leader to fill the position of dean, School of
Nursing and Health Sciences, with an employment start date of January, 2012. The successful candidate will provide
leadership and vision for future growth and development of vibrant programs in
the field of nursing and the field of health sciences. Application deadline is June
15, 2011.

Application materials should include: (1) letter of application and curriculum
vitae, (2) statement of Christian faith, (3) statement on leadership philosophy
and the integration of faith in the academic discipline, (4) list of three
references to provost@malone.edu.
Qualifications:
Candidates should have a doctorate (preferably in nursing) from a regionally
accredited institution. The MSN is required should the doctorate be in a field
other than nursing. Licensure as a registered nurse should be current and able
to be obtained in the state of Ohio. As a leader for the 21st
century the successful candidate should have experience working with
accrediting bodies for both undergraduate and graduate programs. The successful
candidate will have an established commitment to a personal Christian faith and
have the ability to integrate faith in the leadership role.
About the School of Nursing and Health Sciences:
Currently there are three programs for nursing: BSN pre-licensure
program, RN/BSN program, and MSN program with FNP track and CNS Adult track.
Health Science programs include a major in health education and in community
health education. The BSN programs have Ohio Board of Nursing approval and the
BSN and MSN programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing
Education (CCNE). The overall enrollment in all programs exceeds 400 students.
