Open Frame Film Festival Results

openframeThe Malone University Open Frame Student Film Fest was held earlier this month. The event screens films that are written, produced, directed, scored, shot and edited by Malone University students. Films are juried by professional filmmakers and an awards presentation is held following the screening. More information can be found at the blog: http://theopenframeblog.blogspot.com.

Winners of the 2011 Malone University Open Frame Student Film Fest are:

  • Best Actor - Paul Croce, a junior English major from Chardon, for Hidden Liabilities
  • Best Actress - Trisha Landis, a sophomore intervention specialist major from Sterling, for Customer Satisfaction
  • Best Supporting Acting - Brittany Yeager, a senior English major from Newton Falls, for Mansfield
  • Best Screenplay - Corinne Abbiss, a junior communication arts major from Olmsted Township, for The Memories Within
  • Best Editing - Jordan Grubbs, a junior communication arts major from Uniontown, for Customer Satisfaction
  • Best Contribution by a Non-Malone Student - Joe Siebert, a communication arts alumnus from Bolivar, for Customer Satisfaction
  • Best Original Score - Jon Lincoln, a senior English major from Canton, for Customer Satisfaction
  • Best Cinematography - Dusty Jenkins, senior communication arts major from Dublin, for Hidden Liabilities
  • Best Directing - Taylor Hazlett, a junior communication arts major from Millersburg, for Customer Satisfaction
  • Outstanding Achievement in Production Authenticity - David Garwood, a senior communication arts major from Plain City, for Hatchetmen
  • Outstanding Achievement in Genre Excellence - Kyle Mallow, a senior communication arts major from Bellevue, for Never A Bride
  • Outstanding Achievement in Documentary Film - Ryan Barnett, a junior communication arts major from Marengo, for Push Tags
  • Best Film - Danyella Tonelli, a senior communications arts major from Hunting Valley; Monica Small, a senior communication arts major from Boardsman; and Taylor Hazlett, a junior communication arts major from Millersburg, for Customer Satisfaction
