6196 - Malone University Outstanding Alumni Recognized at Annual Awards Ceremony

The following Malone University alumni were recently recognized with the 2011 Outstanding Alumni Awards as part of the University's Homecoming festivities. Congratulations to:
Alumnus of the Year: The Rev. Dr. Cedric S. Rodney, the James A. Gray Professor of Religion & Ethics in the Department of Social Sciences at Winston-Salem State University (NC) and a 1958 graduate, currently residing in Clemmons, NC
Graduate School Alumnus of the Year: Greg Nettle, senior pastor of RiverTree Christian Church and a 1997 graduate, currently residing in Canton
Young Alumnus of the Year: Deron Boring, J.D., attorney at law and a 2001 graduate, currently residing in Rootstown
Malone Management Program Leadership Excellence Award: Yvonne Brake, director of development for Haven of Rest Ministries and a 1998 graduate, currently residing in Akron
In addition, Earl H. Bailey, founder of Word for the World International radio ministry and a 1966 graduate, currently residing in Canton, OH, was presented with the inaugural Earl H. Bailey Lifetime Achievement Award.
Malone University, a Christian university for the arts, sciences, and professions in the liberal arts tradition, affiliated with the Evangelical Friends Church, awards both undergraduate and graduate degrees in more than 100 academic programs.
