6427 - Malone University’s Master of Arts in Theological Studies program presents The Saint John’s Bible

The Malone University Master of Arts in Theological Studies program will hold a workshop exploring the famed Saint John's Bible, the first hand-written, hand-illustrated, hand-illuminated Bible commissioned in 500 years. The program will be take place Saturday, November 10 from 10 a.m. – 12 noon in the Cattell Library.
Joel Soza, Th.D., professor of Old Testament will serve as moderator, addressing, "The Saint John's Bible and its contribution to biblical and theological student."
The event is free and open to the public. Guests are invited to view the work of art that illuminates the Word of God for a new millennium, and hear how it promotes the values of biblical and theological study. Malone University is the permanent home to one of only 299 Saint John's Bible - Heritage Editions, the full-sized, signed, and numbered reproduction of the original masterpiece. In September of 2011, Soza traveled to Saint John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota, to view the original work. An exhibit of the original pages is planned in conjunction with the Canton Museum of Art for November, 2013.
