The annual Malone University Gigana-Hugana Banana Split Eating Contest will take place Friday, October 26 at 7:30 p.m. in the Stewart Room of the Randall Campus Center on the Malone campus at 2600 Cleveland Avenue NW in Canton.
Teams of students, dressed in themed costumes, vie for top prizes as they raise funds to benefit the Stark County Hunger Task Force. Each team must eat their Banana Splits as fast as possible WITH NO HANDS. Prizes are awarded for *Best Banner, *Best Stage Performance, *Fastest Eating Time, *Best Costume, *Audience Choice Award and the *Top Banana/Best Overall award.
The event is sponsored by the university's Student Activities Committee with the support of AVI Fresh Dining Services.
Free and open to the public, opportunities to make contributions to the Stark County Hunger Task Force (while enjoying banana splits) will be presented.
