6460-One Voice Gospel Choir
6460-November 2, 2012
The Malone University gospel choir, One Voice, will perform in concert Saturday, November 17 from 6:30-8 p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of the Johnson Center for Worship and the Fine Arts.
The concert, under the direction of Darius McBride, a sophomore music education major from Henrietta, N.Y.; with music from Samson Toe, a senior music education major from Canton, is free and open to the public.
The concert is being held in conjunction with the 40th anniversary celebration of the first Black Student Union/multicultural student group on Malone's campus. Administrators recently discovered in the 120 year-old-university's archives documentation showing the admittance of its first student of color taking place in the fall of 1900.
