6541-Malone University to hold information meeting for master’s degree programs – April

Malone University will present information meetings for each of its six master's degree programs on Thursday, April 18, at 6 p.m. in Room 106 of the Johnson Center on the campus located at 2600 Cleveland Avenue N.W.
Light refreshments and registration begin at 5:45 p.m.
Prospective students may visit with the program directors and graduate admissions personnel regarding pursuing a master's degree in education, counselor education, theological studies, business administration, nursing, and the master of arts in organizational leadership which can be completed in 16 months.
College of Theology, Arts, and Sciences:
M.A. in Theological Studies. The MATS program prepares students for leadership in all areas of Christian ministry. Each of our courses invites deep and substantive learning in scripture, theology, and ministry while requiring students to always consider the practical implications of their studies. Our graduates are employed as lead pastors, youth ministers, worship leaders, missionaries, education ministers, non-profit executives, and chaplains as well as in a variety of lay professions including engineering, nursing, public school teaching, accounting, and much more.
School of Business and Leadership:
M.B.A. The Master of Business Administration degree is designed for professionals who desire to sharpen their skills for the competitive work environment of the 21st century. Coursework focuses on problem-solving through business theory and practice. Students have the option of taking this program one night a week from 6pm to 10pm for 24 months or completely online for 20 months.
M.A. in Organizational Leadership. This degree is designed to focus on the human component of organizations, developing inspirational leaders who understand how to impact vision and high ethical standards into their organization. This program offers a hybrid partial online and partial campus classroom delivery system, or the program can be taken completely online. The program can be completed in as little as 16-months or an individual schedule can be developed that meets the needs and goals of an individual student.
Additionally, the program is offered in two tracks. One track is for the leader who wants to complete his or her formal education at the master's degree level. The second track is for those students who desire to continue their education with an additional research component that prepares the student for doctoral studies.
School of Nursing and Health Sciences:
M.S.N. The Master of Science in nursing degree may be earned in 24 months. The lock-step program track is for the family nurse practitioner (FNP) with a primary care focus. Most courses use a one-day-a-week schedule, plus clinical hours to qualify for the certification exams.
School of Education and Human Development:
M.A. Ed. The graduate program in education provides advanced study for educators in the disciplines of curriculum, instruction and professional development, education leadership that is the foundation for the principal's license, intervention specialist and reading.
M.A.Ed. Counselor Education and Human Development prepares the professional in clinical counseling, school counseling, and classroom-based counseling and advocacy.
Classes for these programs are typically scheduled one night a week in condensed terms.
