Malone University hosts etiquette seminar for graduating seniors

Manners matter. And good manners not only matter, they can be essential in landing that new job. Small things – like a hand-written thank you note following an interview – can leave a positive impression with a potential employer. That was the lesson for graduating seniors at an etiquette seminar designed to give Malone University graduates the edge as they enter the job market and launch post-college careers. Seminar speakers were Sue Grabowski and Bob Pacanovsky.

Sue Grabowski is the president of Grabowski & Co., a strategic marketing communications firm that serves more than 40 clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to local small business and non-profits. Grabowski & Co.'s work has garnered 36 local ADDY Awards, including two

"Best of Show" honors. Clients include Progressive, The Timken Company, Veyance Technologies, Akzo Nobel, Akron Children's Hospital, and Premier Bank and Trust.

Bob Pacanovsky is the president of both Robert J. – Training & Design, a company specializing in corporate behavior, dining etiquette, and customer service, and Robert J. – Events & Catering. Under Bob's leadership, Robert J. – Events & Catering has achieved Preferred Caterer status at several unique venues including the Akron Art Museum, Pro Football Hall of Fame, The Glidden House, Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Hale Farm & Village, and more.
