This unique program features German art songs by great composer, Richard Strauss, French chausons by Duparc, Berlioz and Debussy, as well as arias and scenes from some of the most beloved operas and operatic composers of the past 200 years, such as Strauss' Der Rosenkavalier, Puccini's La Boheme, Verdi's La Traviata and many more. At the center of the program are sacred works that represent God's presence at the center of any journey. This set includes compositions by Mozart, Albert Hay Malotte and Malone University's Jesse Ayers, D.M.A. This recital is unique, in that the progression of pieces moves the audience from the darkness of uncertainly to the joyful celebration that exists because of faith.
