Malone University Literacy Celebration Change in Keynote Speaker -- Laurie Lazzaro Knowlton will now address conference on April 6

Due to health matters, Bonnie Pryor – scheduled keynote speaker for Malone's annual Literacy Celebration – has canceled her appearance.
In her place will be children's author and illustrator Laurie Lazzaro Knowlton (pictured left), the creative force behind dozens of popular children's books as well as two new offerings – Pirates Don't Say Please and There Was a Librarian who Chewed on a Word.
The Malone University Center for Professional Development within the School of Education and Human Development will host the 8th annual Literacy Celebration Saturday, April 6, beginning at 8:30 a.m. (registration) in the Johnson Center Dining Room, located on the campus at 2600 Cleveland Avenue N.W. in Canton. The conference is aimed for all primary and elementary educators, art teachers, librarians, and administrators.
Cost is $60, and includes a continental breakfast, lunch, and materials. One optional hour of graduate credit is available with attendance and an additional assignment at an additional cost.
