Malone University award-winning online student newspaper – The Aviso AVW – named finalist in Pacemaker contest

Malone University's award-winning online student newspaper - The AVISO AVW (audio/video/web.) - has been named a finalist in the Associated Collegiate Press Pacemaker contest for the second year in a row. Malone is the only Ohio university found on the list of finalists in the online-only category.
Adviser for The AVISO AVW is David Dixon, Ph.D., professor of communication arts at Malone.
The Associated Collegiate Press is the largest and oldest national membership organization for college student media in the United States. The ACP is a division of the National Scholastic Press Association. It awards the newspaper, magazine, and online National Pacemaker Awards, which are considered the highest honors a student publication can receive.
Malone University, a Christian university for the arts, sciences, and professions in the liberal arts tradition, affiliated with the Evangelical Friends Church, awards both undergraduate and graduate degrees in more than 100 academic programs.
