Annual Gigana-Hugana Banana Split Eating Contest at Malone will benefit the Stark County Hunger Task Force

The annual Malone University Gigana-Hugana Banana Split Eating Contest will take place Friday, October 11 at 7:30 p.m. on the basketball courts in front of the Randall Campus Center, located on the campus at 2600 Cleveland Avenue N.W. in Canton, Ohio. The event would move inside the Randall Campus Center in case of inclement weather.
Teams of students, dressed in themed costumes, vie for top prizes as they raise funds to benefit the Stark County Hunger Task Force. Each team must eat their Banana Splits as fast as possible WITH NO HANDS. Prizes are awarded for best banner, best stage performance, fastest eating time, best costume, audience choice award and the Top Banana/best overall award.
The event - sponsored by the university's Student Activities Council with the support of AVI Fresh Dining Services - is part of Malone University's Homecoming festivities.
Free and open to the public, opportunities to make contributions to the Stark County Hunger Task Force (while enjoying banana splits) will be presented.
