Malone University Writer’s Series welcomes poet Aaron Belz on November 19

BelzCollege of Theology, Arts, and Sciences - The Department of Language and Literature Writer's Series will welcome poet Aaron Belz on Tuesday, November 19 at 7 p.m. in the Everett L. Cattell Library, located on the campus at 2600 Cleveland Avenue N.W. in Canton, Ohio. The program is free and open to the public.

Aaron Belz is the author of The Bird Hoverer (2007) and Lovely, Raspberry (2010). He earned a B.A. from Covenant College, an M.A. in creative writing from New York University, and a Ph.D. in English from Saint Louis University. His poetry has appeared or is forthcoming in Boston Review, Gulf Coast, Painted Bride Quarterly, Exquisite Corpse, Mudfish, Jacket, Fine Madness, and Fence and has been included in several anthologies. He has taught English and Creative Writing at Fontbonne University, Saint Louis University, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and Providence Christian College.

Dr. Belz recently made headlines when he opened an ad on Craigslist to sell his services as a poet, attracting attention from, among others, The Atlantic and BBC World Service.
