Malone University professor, alumni, among contributors to The Oxford Handbook of Quaker Studies

Malone University professor of history, Jacalynn Welling, Ph.D., is among the chapter contributors found in the 2013 edition of The Oxford Handbook of Quaker Studies (Oxford Press).The work was edited by Stephen W. Angell of Earlham College (Indiana) and Pink Dandelion of Birmingham University and Woodbrooke Quaker Study Centre, England.
Dr. Welling's chapter is titled "Mission." A 1977 graduate of Malone University, Dr. Welling is also a graduate of Case Western Reserve University.
Fellow Malone University alumni represented in the collection include Jeffrey Dudiak, a 1983 Malone University graduate and professor of philosophy at the King's University College in Edmonton, Canada; his chapter is titled Quakers, Philosophy, and Truth; andDavid L. Johns, a 1985 Malone graduate and vice president for academic affairs and dean of the College at Union College in Kentucky; his chapter is titled Worship and Sacraments.
In addition, Paul N. Anderson, a 1978 Malone graduate and professor of biblical and Quaker studies at George Fox University; and John William Oliver Jr., associate professor emeritus of history at Malone University, were among those who served as consultants on the project.
