Rummage sale to benefit Zimbabwe service learning trip will be January 21-22

Malone university students planning to participate in a May service learning trip to Zimbabwe will hold a "love offering" rummage sale Tuesday, January 21, and Wednesday, January 22, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. In the Stewart room of the Randall Campus Center, located on the campus at 2600 Cleveland Avenue N.W. in Canton, Ohio.

Items for sale include books, household items, Christmas decorations, school supplies, and more. The team is also accepting donations for the sale.

No items are priced. Shoppers will decide the amount of the donation. All proceeds will go toward offsetting the cost of student participation in the service learning trip.

The Zimbabwe trip will be led by native Zimbabwean Moses Rumano, Ph.D, assistant professor of education; Nancy Varian, Ph.D., assistant professor of education; and Dakota King-White, Ph.D., assistant professor of counseling and human development.

The group will be hosted by Murewa High School in Murewa, outside the capital of Harare, and projects will be related to school and community. The trip will culminate with a trip to western Zimbabwe to visit Hwange National Park which boasts the largest waterfall in the world, Victoria Falls.
