Malone University will host music camp for the whole family this summer from July 13-19

The Malone University College of Theology, Arts, and Sciences - Department of Music will host a summer music camp for the entire family from July 13-19 at the campus located at 2600 Cleveland Avenue N.W. in Canton, Ohio. The day camp is being co-sponsored by Taylor Band & Orchestra of Akron, Ohio.
This camp is open to musicians of any age. Public and private school students are encouraged to participate with youth and adult musicians from the greater Canton area for a week of music activities. Daily classes and rehearsals will be offered in a variety of musical settings including string ensemble, band for adults and students of all levels, jazz band, piano classes all levels, choir, beginning handbells, beginning guitar, percussion, brass & woodwind ensemble, music fundamentals and music appreciation.
Separate group rehearsals will be held for students who have had at least one year of instruction as well as for more advance middle and high school students. There will also be a New Horizons adult ensemble. The more advanced students will join in with the adult concert and jazz bands for a 'grand finale' concert on Saturday afternoon.
The week of music enrichment will begin with our Sunday evening orientation, registration, and faculty meet & greet. Lunch will be provided daily with classes running from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday with a Saturday morning dress rehearsal, lunch and 1:30 p.m. showcase performance.
