July 31, 2014 | Release # 6939
Two Malone University students are gaining hands-on experience through internships with Campbell Oil - BellStores in Massillon, Ohio.
Andrew Haney, a senior communication arts major from Canal Fulton, Ohio
Alexis Kreiner, a junior communication arts major from Mogadore, Ohio.
Over the course of the summer, Haney and Kreiner are acting as the face of the BellStores company! This valuable internship is providing the students with the opportunity to gain practical marketing knowledge and experience by contributing to various aspects of running a successful event program.
The pair has provided marketing assistance in all aspects of the company's summer customer appreciation days. These fun family-oriented events include cash card give-aways, free ice cream and popcorn, a raffle offering free coffee or fountain drinks for one year, and the BellStores mascot, Bell the Dog.
According to Jake Patton, marketing specialist for Campbell Oil, "Andrew and Alexis have really elevated our customer appreciation days this summer. They each take pride in a job well done and their friendly personalities have been a hit with our customers. We couldn't have asked for a better pair."
Brian Burrow, president of BellStores & Campbell Oil, agrees. "We are thankful to be able to offer local students opportunities to work within the communities in which they live. It is our goal to provide Andrew and Alexis with real world experience that they can build upon while still in college. Our hope is that through the internship with BellStores, Andrew and Alexis gain the confidence and experience that employers often look for."
