Nursing Class of 2013 celebrates excellent NCLEX pass rate
3.20.14 | Release # 6886
The Malone University School of Nursing and Health Sciences was recently notified that its pre-licensure BSN class of 2013 has passed the NCLEX exam at an impressive rate of 93.6 percent. This compares favorably to a national program average first-time pass rate of 83.04 percent.
To ensure public protection, candidates for licensure must pass an exam that measures the competencies needed to perform safely and effectively as a newly licensed, entry-level nurse. The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) administers the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) to assist state boards of nursing in making licensure decisions. Taking the NCLEX-RN is a capstone experience to baccalaureate pre-licensure nursing program graduates.
The faculty and staff of Malone University heartily congratulate the BSN class of 2013 on this impressive accomplishment!
