Sigma Delta Mu Honor Society Inductees
Malone University recently inducted four new members into its chapter of Sigma Delta Mu. The Spanish honor society recognizes men and women who strive for and attain excellence in the study of Spanish and in the knowledge of the literature and culture of Spanish-speaking peoples; encourages a greater interest in and a deeper understanding among college students of Hispanic cultures; honors those who work to make known to English-speaking peoples, the Hispanic contributions to world cultures; and fosters friendly relations and mutual respect between Spanish-speaking and English-speaking peoples.
The most recent inductees include:
- Matthew Armstrong, a freshman integrated social studies major from Chesterland
- Ivan Beggs, a degreed student from Canton
- Rachel Carter, a sophomore early childhood education major from Southfield, Mich.
- Jonathan Halliburton, a senior political science major from Fairport Harbor
