School of Education

The mission of the faculty of the School of Education is to foster the development of educational, health, and human performance professionals grounded in a caring commitment to God, community and individuals. The School’s programs are designed to provide an intensive knowledge base, to enhance reflective practice and to promote life-long professional competence and excellence.

The School of Education is organized into the Department of Education, the Department of Health and Human Performance, and Graduate Education. It includes the Child Development Center, various partnership initiatives, and education student services. The School of Education offers the undergraduate degrees of Bachelor of Science in Education (see Department of Education; Department of Health and Human Performance), Bachelor of Arts (see Department of Health and Human Performance), and the Masters of Arts in Education (see Graduate Education.)

The School of Education houses state-approved teacher education programs leading to Ohio licensure. Consult licensure program requirements listed under Teacher Licensure Programs and program guides available upon request in the School of Education; Mitchell Hall - Room 300.
