Costa Rica Service Learning Trip 2012

Details: We will be staying in the town of Nicoya in the Pacific Ocean side of the country. The trip will focus on the natural wonders of Costa Rica and will include outdoor activities such as zip line and canopy walks above the rain forest, hikes to waterfalls in national parks, and a visit to the beach. We will include an overnight trip to the nation's capital, San Jose, where we'll learn about the country's history and tour museums of pre-Colombian artifacts. Our service project will be three days doing physical labor for a homebuilding project. Our lodging will be a combination of hostels and home-stays with families.
