Romania Service Learning Trip 2013
Dates: Three weeks in mid-May through early June 2013
Trip Leaders: Elizabeth Patterson and Kathryn Gritter
Cost: Approximately $2,975
Spend three weeks in Medieval Transylvania, in the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains, known as Dracula's birthplace, Sighisoara, Romania! You will have the opportunity to experience a country transitioning from a harsh communist dictatorship to becoming members of the European Union.
Through working alongside Veritas staff, participants will serve the needs of some of the most marginalized community members. We will serve and learn through supporting social service programs for children, families, and the elderly. Students will also have an opportunity to live and learn within the culture we will be serving in through staying with host families in the community.
