"Finally, all of you, be like minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble. Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing." (1 Peter 3:8-9, NIV)

Daniel Christy
Treasurer
Major: undecided
Hometown: Sebring
Position & Goals for the 2012-13 Senate:
As the Sophomore Class Treasurer it is my duty to manage our class's finances, determining how much a project or event will cost and if it is affordable. I also serve on committees pertaining to various issues on campus. Some of my personal strengths are pragmatism, trouble-shooting ability, and a firm grasp on conceptual ideas. My personal goal, as well as a central goal of the Sophomore class and Student Senate as a whole, is to raise awareness of the role that Student Senate takes on in the life of Malone University, with the end of increasing interest and participation in student government.
"What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God – through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God's law, but in the sinful nature a slave to the law of sin. Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death." (Romans 7:24-8:2, NIV)

"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." (2 Cor. 4:18, NIV)
