Students taking the carte blanche meal plan may enter the dining commons (during open hours) as many times as they desire, when-ever they desire and eat as much as they desire during open hours, including late evening hours. Students on this plan are entitled to have five (5) guests per semester eat with them at no extra cost to the student. Please notify the cashier of your guest as you enter the dining commons.
14-Meal Plan/Commuter Meal Plan
Fourteen meals per week plus three guest meal passes and $35 Dining Dollars per semester
Students choosing the 14-meal plan may enter the dining commons up to 14 times per week whenever they desire, including late evening hours, and eat as much as they desire. Students on this plan are entitled to have three (3) guests per semester eat with them at no extra cost to the student. Students should plan their meals carefully as only 14 meals may be eaten per week (see statement above regarding what constitutes a meal plan week). If all 14 meals are not eaten in any given week they cannot be carried forward into succeeding weeks. Students who use their 14 meal allotment before Sunday evening will be required to pay cash for each meal after 14. Additionally, Commuter Dining Cards are available for purchase, which can be pre-paid and used like a debit card.
Limited Meal Plan
Ten meals per week; no guest meal passes or Dining Dollars
Education majors scheduled to student teach, nursing majors involved in nursing clinical rotations, or students with a work schedule that requires them to miss a number of scheduled meals may petition the Office of Student Development for a 10-meal plan option. Only those students with special circumstances as determined by the Dean of Student Development or the Associate Dean for Student Development will be given consideration for the 10-meal option. Students will be notified in writing if approved for this meal plan and will be billed at a reduced rate. Students choosing the 10-meal option may enter the dining commons up to ten times per meal plan week including late evening hours. Students on the 10-meal option will not receive guest passes and unused meals may not be carried forward into succeeding weeks.
Dining Dollars can be used for guest meals, late night, or at The Cafe, or Froggy's.
Late Night featured Monday - Thursday nights, can be purchased with an unused meal or Dining Dollars
Special orders
Special orders are taken for birthday cakes and other baked goods, made fresh daily on the premises. An order must be placed forty-eight hours in advance. Contact an AVI Food Systems representative for prices and information.
Bagged Lunches
The bagged lunch program is designed to provide board paying students with a carry-out meal when they have a schedule conflict with the meal hours. It is not, however, designed to provide additional meals or snacks to students, nor is it provided in all cases in lieu of meals. Except by special permission, bagged lunches must be picked up during regular meal hours. No more than two (2) bagged lunches to any student per day will be issued, unless it is for a university sponsored event, in which case authorization is needed.
Students ordering a bagged lunch, must contact the Food Service cashier and provide: name, I.D. number (social security number), requested meal, and day(s) needed. Food Service must be contacted no later than 1:00 p.m. prior to the day of the pick up.
Bagged lunches will be customized to meet student needs. Generally, they include a sandwich, fruit, chips, dessert and beverage. To further enhance the program, a student may request a carry out tray for the salad bar in lieu of a traditional sack lunch.
