Test Taking Tip: Test Anxiety

Take a deep breath!

A little anxiety is good, too much interferes with success.

Before the test:

  • Start studying early
  • Mentally practice taking the test

During the test:

  • Scan the test and read the directions
  • Breathe slowly and deeply
  • Do the simple questions first to build your confidence
  • If you don't know the answer, skip it and try it again later
  • Don't worry about how fast others finish their tests
