8-9 a.m.: Breakfast 

9 a.m.: All gather in the Johnson Center (JC) room 122 for announcements 

9:15-9:45 a.m.: Independent practice

10-10:45 a.m.: Music Appreciation/History of Music (Teacher: Ms. Rachel Waddell)

This hour will devote time to listening to chamber music, the discussion of and the history of classical composers of chamber music and or the chamber music the campers are preparing.

11-11:45 a.m.: Chamber Music Rehearsal

12 noon-1 pm: Lunch

1-1:45 p.m.: private practice on issues/topics discussed during 11 a.m. rehearsal hour


Private lesson with music faculty member at least one day during the camp.

2-2:45 p.m.: private lessons with music faculty (depending on camp enrollment)


Chamber Music Rehearsal 


Instrument specific ensembles (e.g., trumpet ensemble, string ensembles, flute ensemble - without piano)

3-3:45 p.m.: open masterclass and/or daily student performance opportunity 

4 p.m.: Daily closing comments, discussion and announcements (JC, room 122)

5-6 p.m.: Dinner 

Evening Events

June 20: Faculty Recital in JC 122 at 7 p.m. 

June 23: Picnic and CSO String Quartet performance at the Mill in Magnolia, Ohio-- SPONSORED BY The Canton Symphony Orchestra

Closing Public Recital

June 24: Chamber Music Camper Recital, 10 a.m. in the Stewart Room

(Other evening recreational events will take place on campus with camp staff and student mentors.)
