What to bring

Casual summer attire is appropriate for Nursing and Public Health Summer Institute. Modest casual dress including blue jeans, shorts, and t-shirts are acceptable for camp activities. Shorts should be no shorter than halfway between the top of the knee and the top of the thigh. Midriff style and sleeveless shirts are not allowed. The academic buildings utilized during the day are air-conditioned and can be a bit chilly. Please plan accordingly.

For the hospital field trip, professional attire is required. We recommend young men bring dress shoes, casual dress pants, and a casual dress shirt. We recommend women bring close-toed shoes, casual dress pants, and dress shirt with sleeves. OSHA requirements are that all hospital guests must wear closed toe shoes for a tour.

For the EMS activity, since you will be climbing in and out of an ambulance, please bring jeans and sneakers.
