Scott Waalkes is an Associate Professor of International Politics and has served Malone University since 1998.  During the 2004-05 academic year, he was on sabbatical as a Fulbright Scholar in the Middle Eastern nation of Bahrain.

Scott received his B.A. in Political Science from Calvin College, and his M.A. and Ph.D. in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia.  He is the author of several articles and book reviews in international studies, and is currently working on a book project outlining a Christian view of globalization.  He also has an interest in Christian-Muslim dialogue.

He holds memberships in the American Political Science Association, the International Studies Association, and the Pi Sigma Alpha National Political Science Honor Society. 

Scott and his wife, Michele, have 3 children (Michael--age 15, Rebekah--age 13, and Kara--age 11).  (For a picture of the family, click here.)  In his spare time, Scott enjoys reading, running, and playing soccer.
