The School of Nursing and Health Sciences takes pride in educating students who are dedicated to their profession and look to make an impact even before graduation. Our department has two honors societies for students pursuing a major within the School of Nursing and Health Sciences, one for nursing students and one for students pursuing a health sciences degree.
National Health Sciences Honorary Society - Eta Sigma Gamma
This honorary society is open to all students who are pursuing a degree in the health sciences. Through this group, students will be able to participate in events, interact with others within their major/program, plan events for other students to partake in, and much more!
Pi Chi Chapter - Sigma Theta Tau International
This Nursing Honor Society is for senior students who have excelled in the classroom over the last three years of their undergraduate studies. Students who are eligible for this honor are notified in their senior year, fall semester and are given the opportunity to apply for the society. Although membership to this society is exclusive, events and programs provided by the society are open to all nursing students who are interested in participating.
