Family Nurse Practitioner

This certificate is designed for post master’s nurses who want to expand their scope of practice to include a structured yet independent setting. Family Nurse Practitioners provide care for a wide range of patients, across the lifespan, traditionally in clinical settings or family practices.

The Family Nurse Practitioners certificate program consists of traditional face-to-face classes that meet just one night a week to accommodate your already busy lifestyle. Clinical Internships (500 hours total) will be provided in a variety of primary care settings.

The certificate is designed to be completed in three (3) consecutive semesters, totaling 16.5 credit hours.

The Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) 

This certificate is designed for post master’s nurses who want to expand their scope of practice to include a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. AGACNP's work with adult and elderly patients who have acute, chronic and critical conditions. Given these circumstances, AGACNPs work in collaboration with others in the medical field to provide the best care for their patients while continually evaluating the patients’ condition. The combination of the two (Acute and Gerontology) is relatively new and innovative
