The Spanish program at Malone offers three possible degrees for students - a Spanish major, a Spanish Education major with K-12 Licensure, and a Spanish minor. Many of our students have combined a degree in Spanish with either a minor or second major in a variety of fields, including business, social work, communications, and health care, with recent curriculum revisions making these opportunities more accessible without comprising the integrity of the program. We continue to strive for a comprehensive curriculum with courses that emphasize language and literature balanced with those that focus on culture and civilization, all taught in the target language. We also offer many exciting semester-long study abroad options for our majors and minors in Spain, Mexico, Ecuador, Costa Rica, and Guatemala, and a summer study program in Cuernavaca, Mexico.
