Why Malone?

Why should you choose to study nursing at Malone University?

Below are many reasons. Or if you have questions - and want to talk to a current student or professor - feel free to contact us

  • You begin the nursing program as a first-year student, which allows for longer exposure to clinical experiences than other universities.

  • Malone’s curriculum offers a deeply intentional emphasis on stewardship, recognizing one’s accountability to God, self, and persons with needs.

  • All nursing majors must spend 45 clock hours in a cross-cultural setting – vital experience for the health care industry today with the shifting demographics of cities!

  • Malone has excellent relationships with local health care providers from Dover to Akron and faculty to match clinical experiences – from home health care, community settings, geriatrics, chronic care, pediatrics, hospitals, psychiatric facilities, and more –which allows you to explore your career interest.

  • Student nursing organizations are heavily involved in the local community by organizing food drives, adopting families at Christmas time, and an overall commitment to service.

  • The Nursing program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing, authorized by the Ohio Board of Regents, and holds memberships with the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) and the National League for Nursing (NLN).
