Honors Scholarship

Renewable Honors Program Scholarship

Starting in the Fall of 2018, students who begin the Malone Honors Program as freshmen are eligible for a renewable scholarship of $1,000 per academic year. To be automatically eligible for a $1,000 Honors Program Scholarship students must apply to the Honors Program by February 15. Students who apply to the program after this date will still be considered for acceptance to the Honors Program as space allows. However, scholarship funds may not be available for students that apply to the program after February 15.

Students do not need to complete the entire program to remain eligible, and all students who enter the program remain eligible for honors classes and events throughout their time at Malone. But the following markers determine eligibility for ongoing renewal of the Honors Program Scholarship.

Ongoing Eligibility Requirements

Below are the conditions under which students may maintain this scholarship beyond the freshman year. Any student who finds that scheduling issues or other impediments are interfering with their ability to meet these requirements are invited to work with the co-directors of the Honors Program.

Students who fail to either meet these criteria or work out an alternative plan with the Honors co-directors will not be eligible to continue receiving the Honors Program Scholarship.
