School Health Education Minor

Teach students to value health and wellness

Students who are majoring in another program may choose to take a School Health Education minor (see Academic catalog requirements)  in addition to their primary course of study. You'll take courses in human biology and health promotion as you learn to help others pursue healthy lifestyles both in and outside of the classroom.

A minor normally consists of a minimum of 15 semester hours, 6 of which must be taken at the 300/400 level. Each academic school or department must approve the student and curriculum to be used in the completion of each minor for the Office of the Registrar to verify at the point of graduation.

(Note: This minor DOES NOT qualify a student to be eligible to take the Ohio Assessments for Educators through the Evaluation Systems Group of Pearson for the state of Ohio. Out-of-state students may choose to get the minor which may meet certification needs in other states.)
