Students living in Canton are eligible for a Mayor's Scholarship.
The City of Canton Mayor's Scholarship, dedicated specifically for the Mayor's Scholarship Program, is awarded to ALL students who apply through this program AND meet the following criteria. This $1,000 scholarship can be added to other Malone University scholarships, grants, and loans.

- Must be a resident within Canton City limits
- Must meet Malone University Admission criteria (see below)
- Must be enrolled full-time at Malone University
- Must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application
In addition, students may also be eligible for the Malone University Scholarship or Grant, which ranges in value from $1,000 to full tuition per year, based on the incoming student's standardized test score and high school grade point average (gpa). To determine this amount, high school students who are in their senior year can be notified of this amount by any Admissions Counselor.
The scholarship award is committed to incoming freshmen for four years of undergraduate full-time enrollment, and if the student maintains good academic standing. There is no limit on the number of Canton students who can receive this scholarship.
Application to Malone University
Admission to Malone University is based upon an objective evaluation of an applicant's credentials with emphasis on high school cumulative grade point average, class rank, standardized test scores (ACT or SAT), and depth of high school courses. This composite view is provided by a completed application to the University. Malone admits students of any race, color, religion, sex, and national or ethnic origin who meet the academic admission standards.
