Nursing Continuing Education

Check-in is from 9 - 9:15 a.m. in the Multipurpose Room in Regula Hall, first floor. The CEU will be from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. in Silk Auditorium.

This CEU will be focused on diversity, culture, religion, and spirituality. We will examine how all of these components impact one another and how each make an impact on individuals from varying backgrounds. Not all people of the same religious tradition are alike, so we will explore the diversity within those religious traditions.

This CEU will be presented by David Oliver Kling who has been serving as a chaplain for Crossroads Hospice & Palliative Care since 2013. Kling graduated from Wright State University with a B.A. in Philosophy and Religious Studies and continued on to earn his M.Div. at Methodist Theological School. During his graduate schooling, Kling concentrated his studies in Black Church and African Diaspora Studies and participated in a year long chaplain residency at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, W.V. Kling has three years of congregational leadership experience and two years of experience as a religious education director.
