At Malone University, our resolve to love our students has never been stronger. In the midst of this global pandemic, we want to help you love and care for your fellow Malone community members in the best ways possible. These pages provide guidelines that have been covered in prayer and created based on the recommendations of governing agencies.
We continue to be committed to providing a safe and healthy campus for all of our students. To ensure that, the following plan has been developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. All students are responsible for implementing and complying with all aspects of this plan.
We are blessed with a campus that is spacious enough to offer an on-campus residential experience to the greatest and safest extent possible for the fall semester. Some of the safety measures implemented by the University’s Coronavirus Task Force will include:
- social distancing at least 6 ft. apart
- limited size of group gatherings
- increased sanitization plans in high contact areas
- wearing face coverings in public areas
- checking our symptoms regularly
The COVID-19 pandemic is a fluid situation and circumstances can change quickly. All students will be informed when changes are made. As such, this plan will change as needed in accordance with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Ohio Department of Health (ODH), and the Canton Department of Health (CDH). The University also believes it is essential to follow the guidance of Governor DeWine.
Together, with your careful attention and selfless sacrifice, we can navigate this academic year safely. Thank you for doing your part to protect others — in all spaces, places, and faces you visit, you can help us keep Malone healthy!
