Malone University's Center for Christian Faith & Culture will host Tish Harrison Warren for a lecture entitled, "Liturgy of the Ordinary: Sacred Practices in Everyday Life," based on her lauded book of the same title on Thursday, November 15 from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Johnson Center Dining Room on Malone's campus at 2600 Cleveland Avenue Northwest. The event is free and open to the public.

Harrison Warren's book won Christianity Today's 2018 Book of the Year Award in the category of Spiritual Formation. The description reads, How do we embrace the sacred in the ordinary and the ordinary in the sacred? In the overlooked moments and routines of our day, we can become aware of God's presence in surprising ways. Harrison Warren will encourage us to explore ordinary life through the lens of worship or "liturgy." Learn how to recognize His presence while making the bed, brushing your teeth or even losing your keys. Harrison Warren will open up a practical theology of the everyday, while drawing on her unique life as a campus minister, Anglican priest, friend, wife and mother. Come and discover the holiness of your every day.

Harrison Warren is co-associate rector at Church of the Ascension in Pittsburgh. A priest in the Anglican Church in North America, she spent eight years with InterVarsity Graduate and Faculty Ministries. She writes regularly for The Well, CT Women, and Christianity Today. Her work also has appeared in Comment Magazine, Christ and Pop Culture, Art House America.
