Come join your Malone student for a weekend designed to give you a glimpse into university life! Join your Malone student at this weekend of activities as you explore many of the facets of their exciting student experience. Activities for all ages are planned for September 28 & 29!

Friday, September 28

Friday Only: Homecoming Registration is in the Johnson Center Lobby from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Pick up your tickets, schedule and information.

8 a.m. – 3 p.m. | Admissions Discover Day
Discover Day events include a tour of campus, a chance to meet with faculty, a Community Worship service, a class visit, a parent session, a student panel, an activity fair, and lunch on Admissions. Call 330-471-8145 to reserve your spot with other Future Pioneers right away.

All Day | Friday Classes Open for Alumni Visits
Parents are invited to sit in on a class of their choice. Check the Homecoming website for a schedule.

3 p.m. | Chancel Players Performance
If you enjoy good drama and comedy, you will want to experience this! Chancel Players is a group of six talented students who perform faith-based comedy and drama in schools and churches and community organizations.

7:30 p.m. | Fine Arts Pioneers Homecoming Concert
Enjoy Malone students and alumni in a stirring concert of praise featuring choirs and instrumental groups. Refreshments immediately following in the lobby.

Two Options for Family Fun

9 p.m. | Outdoor Movie in the Quad – The Greatest Showman
Bring a blanket and join us. We’ll provide popcorn and beverages. Spoiler alert: There may be lots of dancing and singing along!
Quad, In case of inclement weather, we will move to the East Campus Multipurpose Room

9 - 11 p.m. | Bowling at Park Centre Lane
We have lane reservations for two hours of bowling for just $3 per person and free shoe rentals. Enjoy Glow Bowling from 10 p.m. on.

Saturday, September 29

Saturday Only: Homecoming Registration is in the Brehme Centennial Center 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Pick up your tickets, schedule of events and other information.

9 – 11 a.m. | Take a Safari to the Malone Zoo Rooms
Malone’s Zoo & Wildlife Biology students will treat guests to a guided tour of the zoo rooms. Meet the animals and observe their interactions with student caretakers.

10 – 11 a.m. | Visit the Land of Illusions for the dazzling magic of Tim Angeloni ’71
Magician (and Malone alumnus) Tim Angeloni will amaze and amuse all ages with tricks ranging from large illusions to close-up magic, often involving members of the audience.

10 a.m. – 12 noon | Open House in Residence Halls
Remember moving your student in? Drop in to visit and see where your Malone student lives.

11 a.m. –  1 p.m. | Homecoming Pioneer Tailgate Lunch and Activities
Enjoy a delicious game day lunch in the Hoover dining Commons and then explore the Inflatables, games, pony rides, classic car show, mini-train rides, Great Pumpkin Hunt Fiesta, and more fun fall activities for you and your Malone student to enjoy.

12 noon | Pioneer Volleyball vs. Wheeling Jesuit
Free tickets to the game included with purchase of Homecoming Tailgate Lunch. Come cheer on the Pioneers!

2 p.m. | Pioneer Football vs. Hillsdale
Cheer on the Pioneers at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium. Homecoming King & Queen crowned at halftime. Free tickets to the game included with purchase of Homecoming Tailgate Lunch. Check-in at the alumni and parents booth and register to win a Malone blanket.

Head back to campus for a “Pioneer Country Dinner”

5 – 7 p.m. | Return to the days of the Wild West at the Pioneer Country Dinner
A delicious barbecue western-themed meal, photo spots, “calf” roping, and more games for the whole family! There will be line dancing with an instructor on hand to guide everyone.

Siblings May Stay Overnight
Siblings (ages 8-18 recommended) are invited to spend the night in the residence hall with their Malone student this weekend, but must be registered with the Office of Student Development. Malone residence halls are same gender only. Malone Students may ask a friend to host their sibling in the appropriate residence hall overnight. All guests must be registered! Students may register their guest in person at Student Development or families may call 330.471.8273.

Parent/ Guest Passes
No Parent or Guest Passes may be used the weekend of Family Weekend.

Malone Campus Store Hours
Visit the store on the lower level of the Brehme Centennial Center and look for their amazing Homecoming sales! Open Friday 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or visit their booth at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium during the football game.

Faculty Scholarship Display
Check out the quality of our wonderful Malone Faculty as you view their publications, presentations and papers on display in the Everett L. Cattell Library on Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday from 12 noon to 4 p.m.

Homecoming Class Reunion Display
Take a trip down Memory Lane! Peruse through yearbooks and posters on display in the Brehme Centennial Center Lobby all day Friday and on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Art Exhibits
Visit the McFadden, Fountain and Malone Art Galleries in the Johnson Center on Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
