This opportunity is 100% college accredited and grants you the eligibility to take national certification exams upon graduation.

Malone University and the Akron Cooperative
Medical Science Program
Partnership

The biology-clinical laboratory science major is a cooperative program between Malone University and the Akron Cooperative Medical Science Program, in partnership with Akron Children’s Hospital, Aultman Health Foundation, and Summa Health. Accredited by the National Accrediting Agency of Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS), the program allows students to apply after completing 90 semester hours at Malone. Accepted students spend their final year at Akron Children’s Hospital, earning 30-38 academic credit hours. 

Upon successful completion, a student will receive a bachelor of arts in biology-clinical laboratory science from Malone and will be eligible for national certification exams, such as those offered by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists Board of Registry (ASCP) and the National Certification Agency for Medical Laboratory Personnel (NCA).
