Malone University announces transfer pathway in support of Lourdes University students
In light of the recent announcement that Lourdes University (Sylvania) will be closing its doors at the end of this academic year, Malone University will provide transfer support to assist current Lourdes University students with their next steps toward completing a Christian university education.
“We are deeply saddened for our friends and colleagues at Lourdes University as they move forward with such a difficult decision,” said Malone President Gregory Miller, Ph.D. “This is a moment that represents both loss and uncertainty for their students, and not only are we holding them in prayer but we are also committed to offering up stability, academic continuity, and Christ-centered community during this difficult transition. At Malone, this transition isn’t just about transferring credits; we want to help students continue discovering who God has called them to be within a supportive academic community — like they desired to receive from Lourdes. It’s our priority to help students complete their education without additional disruption, cost increases, or delays.”
Transfer students from Lourdes will receive:
– Automatic acceptance to Malone University
– A match for their Lourdes financial aid offer so that costs at Malone do not exceed what they’re paying at Lourdes*
*Athletic scholarships and room/board/fees not included

It is a difficult time for faith-based institutions, and we remain more committed than ever to ensuring that students who want to receive a Christ-centered education can do so at Malone.”
Malone is currently waiting for official word from Lourdes about the status of their teachout institutions application. Regardless of that final decision, Malone offers teachout incentives so that Lourdes students can transition to Malone as smoothly as possible.
