Thank you for your interest in the #MyMalone Story Video Challenge! Please read the contest rules below, post your video to social media and tag us as soon as possible to begin collecting engagement, and submit your official entry form by 11:59 a.m. on Monday, September 28.

Official Contest Rules & Eligibility
1. Eligibility
- Open to all currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students at Malone in good academic standing.
- Individual students or groups may participate. (Note: Prizes are awarded per entry, not per person; groups must split the dollar value).
- Submissions must be published on a public Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube channel to allow verification and public vote tracking.
2. Video Requirements
- Format: Vertical video (9:16 aspect ratio).
- Length: 15 to 60 seconds.
- Originality: Must be original content created during the active contest window.
- Tagging Requirements: Entries must tag @malone_u on Instagram or TikTok, or @MaloneU on YouTube and use the official campaign hashtags #MyMalone and #MaloneVideoContest in the main caption.
- Submission Form: Entrants must fill out the submission link below with their name, email, and video link to officially register.
3. Verification & Anti-Fraud
- Fair Play Clause: Purchased engagement, bot traffic, engagement pods, or fake accounts will result in immediate disqualification.
- Auditing: Final vote counts will be audited for suspicious spike activity, non-student account clusters, or automated bot networks.
- Tie-Breaker: In the event of a tie or vote manipulation query, University Relations staff will select the winner based on alignment with brand values and creativity.

4. What type of content do we want to see?
Keep it real, creative, and relatable! Show us what makes Malone feel like home to you.
5. Content angle/inspo:
- “Day in the Life”: A fast-paced tour of your routine—classes, study spots, dining hall favorites, and campus activities
- “Why Malone?”: What made you choose Malone, or what community moment made you stay?
- Hidden Gems: Show off your favorite spots on campus that prospective students don’t usually see.
- Campus humor/trends: Malopriate, humorous trends, popular audio tracks, transitions, or storytelling styles tailored to college life.
6. Brand safety and content standards
- Tone: Positive, authentic, engaging, and welcoming.
- Strict Prohibitions: Content containing illegal substances or activities, dangerous stunts, explicit language, or any violations of the Community Agreement will be disqualified immediately.
- Branding Rules: Use of campus signage or Malone apparel is strongly encouraged. Avoid displaying prominent brand or other university logos.
- Music and audio: Ensure used music complies with platform copyright policies (use trending native audio libraries on TikTok/Reels) AND is free from explicit or suggestive language.
