Integrated Language Arts (BSE)
Prepare to educate high school students in language and storytelling. For teacher candidates who enjoy fiction, nonfiction, and poetry, this licensure option will equip you turn your love for the language into a challenging and rewarding career of service to the next generation of learners and leaders.
Integrated Mathematics (BSE)
Share your enthusiasm for the structure of math, and prepare to earn the secondary teaching licensure for grades 7-12. Upon graduation, you’ll be ready to enter the classroom and invest in the next generation of problem-solvers, scientists, engineers, and doctors.
Integrated Social Studies (BSE)
Get ready to share your excitement about politics, history, and culture with high schoolers so they’ll be ready to lead the next generation. For teacher candidates who want to be subject-matter experts in research, reasoning, writing, and social analysis so they can shape future citizens, historians, political scientists, and sociologists.
Intervention Specialist Education (BSE)
Learn to customize programming for students in grades K-12 who have mild to moderate educational needs. For teacher candidates who are passionate about meeting the diverse needs of all students so they can learn and develop to their fullest potential.
Life Science/Chemistry Education (BSE)
Prepare to educate high school students in the life sciences and chemistry. Turn your love for the sciences into a challenging and rewarding career of training the next generation of scientists and stewards of creation. Note: Because of the dual nature of this major (life science and chemistry), this major requires more than the standard number of hours and could take an additional semester to complete.
Life Science Education (BSE)
Share your enthusiasm for living organisms and creation care with high school students. Upon graduation, you’ll be ready to turn your love for the sciences into a challenging and rewarding career of training the next generation of scientists and stewards of creation.
Middle Childhood Education (BSE)
Get ready to shape the classroom experiences of children in grades 4-9 in private or public school settings. Grow into a knowledgeable, reflective, and collaborative educator who’s committed to serving all students as they become people of respect, compassion, and fairness.
Music Education (BSE)
Share your love of music with students in grades PreK-12. Upon graduation, you’ll be equipped to effectively use pedagogical techniques and contemporary technology so that you can shape young singers and instrumentalists into professionals who love music, too.
Primary Childhood Education (BSE)
Instill a love for learning in children in grades PreK-5 who are typically developing, at-risk, gifted, or have mild-moderate educational needs. Picture yourself nurturing preschooler’s curiosity or guiding elementary students’ educational journeys. (Traditionally, an early childhood degree would cover preschool through third grade. Our program will provide you with the qualifications to make a difference at any level in elementary school.)
Professional Education (B.A.)
This non-licensure option will prepare you for non-traditional roles in the field of education, including those that don’t require licensure, like private school settings, churches, libraries, or textbook companies.
Coaching (minor)
Become a dedicated and effective coach by immersing yourself in a minor incorporates psychology, management, and techniques into structured, hands-on learning.

Education field experience and student teaching
From the start of the program, we work closely with pre-service teacher candidates so they can have a say in their student teaching placement. We will match you with mentor teachers and schools that align with your teaching interests and goals. We also provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure you’re successful in the classroom and field placement from your first education class to your culminating experience of student teaching.
It’s important to us that you gain experience in different educational settings so you can build adaptability and a strong teaching foundation.
