Our political science program is intimate and community focused. Smaller class sizes and an interactive curriculum will support you in forming strong connections with other students and faculty. You will participate in meaningful discussions about what it means to be a Christian within the broader scope of political science. Upon graduation, you’ll be able to demonstrate:
- Knowledge of each of the four sub-fields of political science (political theory, American politics, comparative politics, international relations)
- Aptitude in research methods and writing proficiency
- The capacity to analyze politics and government from a biblical and theological perspective

What is Political Theory?
Our unique political theology class will help deepen your faith in Christ as you prepare for public service in politics. The course explores the biblical framework of civil society, law, and international relations while focusing on holding a Christian perspective within the political realm. You will be challenged to think deeper about current issues concerning Christians in politics.
The Bliss Institute
The Bliss Institute Internship, offered in partnership with the University of Akron’s Ray C. Bliss Institute of Applied Politics, provides practical experience for eligible Malone students. Gain firsthand knowledge by working for local, state, and national party organizations, as well as candidates, interest groups, and public officials.

Our location in the city of Canton, Ohio, and its close proximity to Cleveland and Akron, provides ample opportunities for internships and experiences.
