“I graduated from Malone’s BSN program, so when it was time to pursue my MSN, I knew Malone was the right choice. I loved the cohort model, where we learned from each other’s specialties and worked together as a team. I can’t imagine a program that doesn’t allow for faith integration, and for me, this program ended too soon!”

Nursing Concentrations

MSN Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
Malone’s fully online FNP program prepares nurses to be able to move on to the next level of nursing and take on new, exciting responsibilities. The curriculum of the FNP program includes coursework, lab time, and internships, in as fast as two years. Students will engage in an evidence-based practice project and gain hands-on learning through three intensive advanced skills lab sessions: at the beginning, in the middle, and at the conclusion of the program. Online students have full access to Malone library resources, state-of-the-art nursing facilities, and the ability to meet with Malone faculty in person.
Post MSN Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
As Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) progress in their careers, many seek to expand their expertise in a specialized field. Earning a Post-Master’s Certificate in a new concentration allows nurse practitioners to enhance their career growth and meet the demand for dual certifications, such as Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP). Health care organizations often prefer APRNs with this dual certification, making a Post-Master’s Certificate an invaluable opportunity. The program includes three internship courses (16.5 credit hours) and 500 clinical hours, leading to certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Certificate in Nursing Education
Through our fully online Nurse Educator Certificate* program, students will develop essential reasoning skills, understand and appreciate the learning philosophies that shape higher educational systems, and become proficient problem-solvers who can discern which educational methods to apply to a variety of class settings.
Students will be well prepared to apply their knowledge, skills, and techniques in higher education and staff development environments.
