We offer the Bachelor of Science in Music Education:
* In July of 2015, Malone University received word that its programs are now accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music. NASM is the national accrediting body for music and music-related disciplines. It provides the opportunity for member institutions to keep one another accountable and contribute to the evolution and growth of collegiate music programs on a grander scale. Institutional membership in NASM represents national recognition of Malone University’s desire to provide the highest quality of music education for its students. There are more than 650 member institutions that create the network of support for the NASM community, and Malone’s inclusion in this prestigious organization will allow its faculty to invest in the future of the music profession.
Give Voice and Song to Your Life’s Passion
As part of Malone University’s College of Theology, Arts & Sciences, the Department of Music offers degree programs in Music Education and Music with emphases available in Music Ministry and Music Production. Certificate programs in Piano Pedagogy and Voice Pedagogy are also offered and scholarships are available through audition.
Our Music programs are notable for the depth and breadth of opportunities they offer, no matter what type of music career you’re seeking. Performance and composition are important pieces of the overall masterwork that you’ll create: a successful career in the field where your God-given talents lie.

Making a Life Out of Making Music
Under the direction of our nationally-renowned faculty, Malone’s academic programs for musicians are selective and demanding, in preparation for a career in music. But opportunities to simply enjoy music for music’s sake are abundant and inviting.
Get involved in one of our performance organizations, including Symphonic Band, University Chorale, Marching Band, Chamber Choir, and several ensembles. Interpret the classics or compose a new work of your own. Learn to evaluate music through the study of a wide range of musical styles. Hone your skills in music production. Take advantage of inspiring music internships.
