In his daily work as a conservation researcher, Sockman’s primary goal is to leave Ohio species better than where he found them. Still early in his career, his legacy is bound to embody his love for wildlife and his desire for others to know that conservation succeeds when people care enough to unite and act.

It’s inspiring to watch young leaders embrace the ways God is calling them to serve!
Our fourth Young Christian Leaders Retreat was filled with meaningful conversations, genuine worship, and high school students deeply committed to growing in their faith as leaders. Their curiosity, encouragement of one another, and desire to serve Christ in their schools and youth groups was both inspiring and refreshing.
A special thanks goes to our outstanding speakers, Markus McFolling *11, Gracie Humphries ’24, and David Williams ’84, who generously shared their stories, wisdom, and encouragement with this year’s students. Thank you for investing in the next generation and modeling Christ-centered leadership so well.
We’re incredibly blessed with the opportunity to pour into these young believers. The future is in faithful hands, and it’s a joy to walk alongside them as they grow in leadership, courage, and purpose.
“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV
