The liberal arts: Explore your love for learning

Our liberal arts major allows you to study several different fields at once so you can be uniquely prepared to serve the world with your goals and talents. At Malone, you have a little bit of time to decide what academic areas interest you most; you have until the beginning of your junior year to declare a major in the liberal arts. And we will guide you every step of the way!

  • Become well rounded in three academic areas of your choosing
  • Two of these areas of study must be in under the umbrella of the traditional liberal arts
“I cannot imagine who I would be without Malone. While I was a student I moved toward a more Christlike vision of God. I grew in understanding of and compassion for people of different religions and ethnicities. I learned how to think and write. I became a better learner. And the relationships I formed still exist. There is a network of people here who have been shaped by Malone and they are out in the world doing good things together. In part, Malone prepared me for my work by giving me these people.”
“I liked that, with a liberal arts major, I didn’t have to pick just one subject I loved. The talents I have were definitely developed during my time at Malone.”
