Malone supports high school students who want to take college courses for both high school and college credit
Get a head start on college with College Credit Plus (CCP), Ohio’s state-funded program that lets high school students earn college credits at no cost if enrolled in a public school. Non-Ohio residents can take advantage of our Dual Enrollment option.

Application Requirements
- Application for Admission
- Signed Malone Community Agreement (see application)
- Official high school transcript
- Complete Mature Content Permission Slip
- ACT or SAT scores, if GPA is below 3.0 cumulative
- Interview with CCP admissions counselor (for students entering 10th grade or below)

Benefits of the CCP Program
Reduce your costs for college
Malone’s participation in College Credit Plus means that, if you are enrolled at a public high school, there is no cost to you or your parent/guardian. There is also funding provided by the State of Ohio for homeschooled students and private (nonpublic) high school students. Students must meet eligibility requirements and apply for State of Ohio CCP funding annually.
Credits are automatically applied to your Malone bachelor’s degree
The college credits you earn at Malone before you graduate from high school are credited toward your Malone bachelor’s degree, helping you finish college more quickly! Or, stay for four years and include additional majors to your degree.
Participating high school seniors will receive additional information if they intend to pursue their bachelor’s degree at Malone. Courses may also be transferred to other institutions and, since Malone is fully accredited by five different accrediting organizations, you can rest assured your courses will be accepted.
Exciting and relevant courses
CCP students are welcome to take any general education course, if the course is open and they meet prerequisite requirements. Our courses are offered both online and on our campus in Canton. All of the courses are taught by Malone University faculty members.
Courses not covered by the State’s tuition, but are available for self-pay, include: music lessons, internships, and algebra (which is a high school level course).

It is easy to transfer CCP credits to Malone! We generally accept transfer credits for courses with a grade of “C” or better from regionally accredited institutions.

Classes offered online and on-campus
CCP students are welcome to take any general education course for which they qualify, as long as the course is open and they meet any prerequisite requirements.
For Homeschool and Nonpublic Families
Students must apply to Malone by March 15 for the following school year in order to meet the State of Ohio funding application deadline of April 1. We will email your acceptance letter and you will submit that to the State as part of your funding application. If you are taking the course on campus or online through Malone, please forward a copy of your state award letter to admissions@malone.edu. If you are taking the course through one of our partner Christian schools, forward a copy of the state award letter to your high school guidance counselor.
For Public School Families
You should speak to your high school guidance counselor to submit a letter of intent by April 1. Students should apply to Malone no later than May 1 for the following school year.

Returning CCP Students
If you have already been accepted to the Malone CCP program for a current school year and plan to take CCP courses again the next school year, request your “In Good Standing” letter no later than March 1. We will email it to you so you can submit it to the State of Ohio by their April 1 funding deadline. Email admissions@malone.edu with the student’s name and your request.
